A woman in her 40s was hit and killed by a school bus carrying six children on the Upper East Side yesterday, reports NBC New York.
The children on the bus are said to be unharmed, and the bus driver remained on the scene during the entire investigation.
Although the cause of the accident is not officially determined, the fatal incident occurred on East 93rd Street and Second Avenue. This is an area that is under construction due to repairs being made on the Second Avenue subway stop, where the visibility for drivers and pedestrians is deemed "not great."
