UPDATE: Suspect Arrested for Punching Man in Hell's Kitchen

UPDATE: Corey Pohan, age 32, was taken into police custody in New Jersey after police traced him to his mother's house in Lakewood, New Jersey.

Pohan agreed to cross state lines, but as he reached the Lincoln Tunnel he changed his mind, and got out of the car. NYPD officers quickly notified New Jersey State Police who picked the suspect up and took him into custody.

Pohan is due in court Thursday for originally punching a man in Hell's Kitchen and sending him to the hospital in critical condition. He is now also being charged as a fugitive of the state of New York among other crimes.

A man is in critical condition after being assaulted and punched in the face on Tuesday evening in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan.

The victim was walking his dog, when the suspect stepped over the dog which led to an altercation. The suspect then punched the man in the face and ran off. The victim fell to the ground, hitting his head hard, causing a serious injury.

Police are still looking for the suspect and released suveillance footage of the attack:
