PIX11 reports that in an effort to prevent the distribution of alcohol to minors in New York City, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced on Monday the results of a State Liquor Authority's sweep.
Out of 74 grocery and liquor stores that were tested by planned minors being sent in to buy alcohol, 32 of the stores sold to the underage kids.
The sweep is intended to continue and last throughout September and target 1,000 stores. Each store that was caught selling to minors will be receiving a $10,000 fine per violation.
